Pratichi School in Nagari of Erasama Block of Jagatsinghpur District in the Indian state of Odisha was started by the Trust in 2003. The school imparts both early childhood education and primary education to its students residing in the village and in the adjacent areas. At present, the school has the strength of 110 students, enrolled in different grades. The academic faculty consists of 8 fairly trained teachers. They are assisted by 2 support staff. Cooked school meals have remained an integral part of the daily schedule of this school since the beginning, acknowledging the crucial linkage between education and nutrition. Dry food-grains have been distributed to its students every month during the period ravaged by the Covid-19 pandemic. The pedagogic vision that animates this school extends beyond teaching the three Rs to children to focus more broadly on cultivating the freedom of their mind.
